I’m ahead of schedule for once so the farm stand is open and ready for you to stop by for breakfast!
I will be bringing out the blueberry scones as they cool, but there’s already sourdough bread, Idaho cheddar cheese and plain bagels, chocolate chip sourdough scones and cookies!
Eggs are loaded in the cooler.
I will have blueberry, almond poppyseed, and a savory cheddar cheese and chive scone tomorrow!! As well as other new goodies if I can manage to juggle everything 😆

Happy Friday!! Baking and prepping early this morning.
Items will restocked each morning as usual by 9am this weekend. With new scone flavors and items making surprise appearances 😊
This morning I have some amazing Idaho cheddar cheese sourdough bagels, Wild blueberry sourdough scones, Chocolate chip cookies, Sourdough loaves and other Farm Fresh goodies. The cooler is stocked with Eggs!

Hopefully my signs don’t blow away with the terrible wind gusts we’ve had! My greenhouse door blew off the hinges so we will be busy replacing that as I have precious seedlings and seeds in there!

This was a surprise today! Someone earned their treats. Most often double yolk eggs are laid by younger newly laying hens. But all of mine are mature gals so I was happily shocked by this giant egg!

We love cooked greens. I grew this rainbow chard last summer, blanched it, and froze it so we can enjoy it any time of year.
It is so easy to prepare straight from the freezer. Pop it onto a pan, cover it with some olive oil oil & chopped garlic.
Roast it in the oven at 400° for about 15 minutes.
I ate mine as a side salad dressed with red wine vinegar.

if you are hoping for bagels, I’d plan on coming Saturday or Sunday! But I will have plenty of blueberry scones, maple, pecan scones, cookies, sourdough bread, eggs and other farm fresh treats today! ❤️

Open for the weekend!! I restock Friday through Sunday mornings.
Eggs and bread have been selling out fast! So please reserve yours ahead of time or try to come early as possible. I am doubling my amount of loaves available for this weekend ❤️❤️❤️

Homemade egg noodles for dinner tonight! ▪️2 cups

Homemade egg noodles for dinner tonight!
▪️2 cups flour
▪️3 eggs
▪️3TBSP milk
▪️ a dash of salt
Mix all incredients until it forms a firm dough. Roll out as thin as possible-which is harder than you think! Then cut into very thin strips (they swell when cooked!). Pro tip: use a pizza cutter dipped in flour.
Separate noodles with floured fingers.
Drop into boiling water or broth and cook for 5 minutes.
These are great tossed in butter and salt or in a soup! We enjoyed them in homemade chicken noodle soup tonight.

I think he’s even forgiven me for his neuter. We have the best Barn cats around. Great personalities, great with the kids, and the best hunters around! You will not see a rodent around here with the patrol unit in force! But Charlie also believes in taking a well deserved moment to roll in the Sunshine!

In honor of Valentine’s Day I decided to cook the beef tenderloin that’s been in my freezer just tempting me to make something incredible from it! We have a great local butcher @md_meats_ and this tenderloin was a beautiful cut! What to make? Well Beef Wellington of course!
100% from scratch. I don’t mess around!
I did substitute the Foie gras for homemade Beef Liver Pate which was a fantastic alternative.
A little @sunvalleymustard, horseradish and roasted veggies on the side made the meal complete!
Food is my love language if you have not yet noticed and even though I don’t often cook like this anymore (with 2 littles at my feet) I do enjoy preparing a challenging dish with success!

Washed or unwashed? Yes, my eggs are washed! Regul

Washed or unwashed? Yes, my eggs are washed! Regulations require me to sell washed and ungraded eggs. But when I say “washed,” I truly mean a light rinse. When eggs come out of the nesting boxes clean like this, they do not require much more. I take pride in having clean hens and nesting boxes!

Don’t get me wrong, sh*t happens! 🐓🥚But it is my goal to have clean eggs that do not require too much handling before selling to my customers.
